Why Reiki self-healing is better than meditation

It is common for Reiki teachers to teach both Reiki Meditations and Reiki healing. They often encourage the students to use these meditations on a regular basis. In a perfect world people would have enough time to devote hours to their Reiki practice and meditation but most people have to work, have family and other commitments that take up most of their spare time. The little time they do have left should be focused on using Reiki in the most effective manner. That means self-healing.

When self-healing is undertaken correctly in the Japanese style and with the added benefit of active Reiki, it is a meditation in itself as well as healing on all levels. The process used in active Reiki requires the use of controlled breathing, chanting in the form of kotodama and focusing on one thing using intention and visualization. The point of focus is the healing process. By doing this you are maximizing the healing effect of the energy and undertaking an active meditation at the same time. There are two benefits to self-healing in this way.

1. The healing effect of the treatment.

2. The meditation effect of the treatment

For all Reiki practitioners and teachers you should think about how to maximize the benefits of your Reiki practice to help you heal on all levels and develop on your spiritual journey. You will discover that self-healing using the active Reiki method offers the most benefits.
